Usha Foundation is committed to establishing well-aware women individuals who can stand firmly against all behavioral acts violating their rights in society.

Our Story

The legal maxims "IGNORTIA JURIS NON EXCUSAT," gave birth to the Usha Foundation, which means Ignorance of the Law is not an excuse. If Ignorance of Law is not an excuse then it is mandatory for all citizens of India to be Legally literate . But on the ground, We understand the complexity of Law in our country.

The Knowledge of Law is confined to law professionals only. Unfortunately in India, especially in family law, crime and unlawful activity became a part of society or culture. We realized the best possible way to mark a change in society, to make common men aware of their rights by organizing legal campaigns.

We registered a Trust under the Indian Trust act, 1882 and named it Usha Foundation reg. no. 1156. Slowly we became a small organization with efficient volunteers with the same mindset who started working for the primary object of Usha Foundation. Now we are a part of women’s rights by organizing camps on legal awareness programs.

January 2021, We started the ‘Satviky’ project under our objective of employment generation. More than 30 women are getting employment by making hand-ground peanut butter spreads of different flavors.

OUR APPROACH OF THREE SISTERS

Usha Foundation works on the Three sisters approach. Through this approach, we insist on everybody’s participation in achieving the objective of empowered women community. Sometimes it becomes very difficult to find out a way for a woman who is stuck in the vulnerable situation, in that condition other women who are capable enough should comeforward to help that women by taking her to the Usha foundation where she can get the financial assistance to tackle the situation.
